Lead Trainer 2005 - 06
I am currently entering my third year as a medical trainer here at Catholic Central High School, and I am enjoying every minute of it. This practicum has been one of the most rewarding experiences. Everyday is a step in my learning through hands on project and dealing with the coaches and players in a professional manner. I love having the responsibility of placing orders with medical companies for the sports teams, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment to work in. Already through my two years as being a medical trainer I have had the experience to file work, ordering, inventory, creating schedules and agendas. I have trained for the Football team as well as the boys basketball team. With this training program I have been able to learn a wide range of injuries and learning to asses them. I also believe that this experience has been amazing and rewarding since I want to become a Pediatrician later on. As the journey continues I look forward to the upcoming year and learning new material.

Lead Trainer 2004 - 05
Throughout my high school years, my most memorable and enriching experiences had to do with training. I learned about responsibility, organizational skills, teamwork and how to compose myself in a professional manner. It also provided me with an insight into the medical work; a field which I am about to pursue at the U of L. This program gave me a chance to see hands on what my future could be like. I absolutely loved training for Catholic Central and I am sad my years as a CCH trainer have come to an end. This practicum has been a phenomenal experience. I urge anyone who is interested in the medical field or becoming an Athletic Trainer to enroll in Sport Medicine and become a trainer for one the of CCH Cougar teams. Becoming a Student Athletic Trainer was an eye opening experience, one I will never forget.
