This past weekend, the Friends of Catholic Central High School held their 60th Anniversary Gala, "Celebrating 60 Years Strong: Building Tomorrow, Honoring Yesterday”! This exciting fundraising event was an incredible opportunity to commemorate Catholic Central’s rich history, achievements, and contributions made over the last sixty years to academic excellence, acts of service, athletics , and fine arts. 235 tickets were sold and attendees got a chance to eat, drink, socialize and reminisce on CCH's last 60 years.
"The Friends of Catholic Central's 60th Anniversary Gala was not only a significant milestone for the school but a success in that it brought together the community, which has not been done in some time," said Joanne Polec, Principal of Catholic Central High School. "The Gala served as a celebration of the school's history, achievements, and impact on students and the community over the past six decades. This kind of event not only brings together alumni, students, staff, and community members, but also strengthens the school's reputation, traditions, and legacy. We are grateful for all those that attended and all those who supported our event."
The event included raffle draws, a progressive 50/50 and a silent auction. While we have yet to surmise the final financial impact, we believe that around $30K was raised. These funds will go a long way in supporting support various endeavors such as HUDL live streaming, equipment and furniture upgrades, and both curricular and co-curricular programming.
