Off Campus Education

Offered at each high school in the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, these programs play an important role in assisting students' transition into the work force and post-secondary education while attaining their high school diploma.


The off-campus programs are partnerships between students, school and community members. They allow the students to explore and expand their career interests and aptitudes in meaningful work situations.


What is Off-Campus Education?

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division’s Off-Campus Education Programs provide opportunities for high school students to apply skills in a real life situation.
Offered at each high school, the programs play an important role in assisting students’ transition into the work force and post-secondary education while attaining their high school diploma.
These programs are partnerships between students, school and community members. They allow the students to explore and expand their career interests and aptitudes in meaningful work situations.
Off-Campus Education programs allow students to:

  • Earn high school credits (1 Credit for every 25 hours worked)
  • Explore careers
  • Make valuable contacts
  • Acquire the skills and work experience

HCS 3000 – Workplace Safety Systems is an Alberta Education prerequisite for all Off-Campus Education programs. HCS 3000 raises awareness of occupational health and safety standards for students before they enter the workforce so that their risk of work-related injury is reduced.
