Concert Choir
Led by Mrs. Jessica Ens, our high school Concert Choir 10/20/30 is a dynamic, 3- or 5-credit, full-year program that welcomes all students interested in developing vocal technique, ensemble singing, and performance skills. With rehearsals focusing on various musical styles and intentional practice goals, students have opportunities to perform in concerts, school events, masses and community programs. No prior experience is necessary—just a passion for singing and a commitment to teamwork. Rehearsals take place every Tuesday and Thursday for this year long course.
Concert Band
Instrumental Music 10/20/30
Mrs. Erin Richards leads Instrumental Music 10/20/30, a full-year, 3- or 5-credit course designed for students interested in brass, percussion, or woodwind instruments. Rehearsals take place every Monday and Wednesday, covering fundamentals, ensemble playing, and technique development. Students perform in concerts and other events throughout the year, building musicianship and confidence. No experience is required, so beginners are encouraged to join and explore their musical potential in a supportive environment. If you have your own instrument you can use it, if you do not, it can be provided to you.
Show Choir
Show Choir 15/25/35 is a 5-credit, exciting, performance-focused ensemble that combines music and movement to create dynamic, high-energy shows. Led by Mrs. Jessica Ens, this full-year course requires commitment, teamwork, and a dedication to refining technique. Rehearsals are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where students work on intricate choreography and vocal precision to bring creative and unique performances to life. Concert Choir is a prerequisite for Show Choir; however, students may enroll in both courses simultaneously. Show Choir members will have numerous opportunities to showcase their hard work and energy at school and community events throughout the year.
Music Masterclass
Music Masterclass is a 5-credit course, taught by Mrs. Erin Richards on Mondays and Wednesdays, and is intended for highly motivated students who have a desire to broaden and strengthen their skills and knowledge of music within an academic setting. Music Masterclass offers students the opportunity to increase their knowledge of music theory, composition, and history, with a focused opportunity to improve sight reading/sight singing skills and ear-training. In addition to the academic and skill development, students will learn basic piano skills, learn basics on another instrument, choral singing techniques and performance techniques. By developing this range of skills, students will become stronger musicians. Students who are enrolled in the Royal Conservatory of Music outside of school are eligible for a dual-credit opportunity as well.
