Whether you are an aspiring chef, or simply want to learn how to cook for yourself or your family, CCH Foods is for you. The CTS curriculum has recently been revamped and Foods falls under the Health, Recreation and Human Services umbrella for obvious reasons.
At CCH we strive to maintain a hands on approach to implementing the curriculum and there is lots of opportunity to try out different recipes and techniques in modern kitchens with the latest equipment; From 100 level beginner courses to 2000 and 3000 level intermediate and advanced, we offer courses in basic baking techniques to more specialized focus in preparing a variety of ethnic cuisine. Due to the flexibility of the CTS curriculum, the program is developed based on individual student needs and interest levels.
We also try to get out into our community and take field trips to several places around the town. Depending on the season, we might visit the strawberry patches of Broxburn vegetable farm, a local eatery for a meal or a tour, or Chef Charles and the phenomenal staff at our local College that offer a world renowned culinary program.
We hope to see you in the kitchens at CCH soon!
"There is no failure except in no longer trying."
